Crafting agent experiences

In recent decades, a domain of expertise has developed around software product craft. It's revived principles of artisanship from the pre-industrial era. You can see it in products such as the iPhone Apple, Linear, Notion, Figma, and Google Maps—products that master micro-interactions, show simplicity while enabling complexity, and design moments of delight into their experiences.

What will the practice of product craft look like in the agentic era? Some have predicted that craft will go away as agents gain control and user experiences thin out. We believe just the contrary—that a new craft is emerging. It will be built on the same principles as pre-LLM craft, but with different manifestations. This course will help you build this new domain of expertise.

You'll learn to:

~ Give users the level of control they want

~ Build trust within agentic experiences

~ Design the reviewer and manager interface instead of the builder interface

~ Create moments of joy within agentic experiences

~ Design for agent transparency

~ Design agents gracefully into user workflows

~ Preserve user's sense of agency
